Written in plain language — because you deserve to understand what you are agreeing to.
Virgo & Crow exists because honest opinion has value. These guidelines exist to protect that value. They are not a list of rules designed to catch you out — they are a description of the community we are building together.
If you read nothing else on this page, read this: write what you genuinely think, treat others with respect, and the flock will thrive.
Write only what you genuinely believe.
Your review should reflect your honest, real experience with the product. Not what you think people want to hear. Not what you were paid to say. Not what you hope will help or hurt a brand. Just the truth, as you experienced it.
The flock is counting on you. 🪶
Every member of Virgo & Crow has an Eye level — a measure of how much the flock has come to trust their verdicts. It grows naturally through honest contribution.
As you contribute honestly to Virgo & Crow, your profile fills with treasures and your stars in the Virgo constellation light up. Each star represents three consecutive months of 40 or more genuine verdicts — a permanent mark of dedication to the flock.
These stars are earned — never bought. No membership tier, no donation, and no amount of money can accelerate or purchase them. Once lit, a constellation star remains on your profile forever, regardless of future activity or membership status.
They exist as a record of genuine contribution. Nothing more. Nothing less.
When a review receives enough crow poo from the community it enters a moderation queue. Trusted members with Discerning Eye status may review flagged content and recommend action.
We will always try to contact a member before removing their content, except in cases of serious, repeated or obvious violation. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that act against the spirit of honest reviewing.
If you believe a review has been wrongly flagged or removed, contact us. We will review it fairly.
The first 1,000 members to join Virgo & Crow earn a permanent place on the Founders Scroll 📜 and receive one free month of Watcher membership as a thank you for believing in us early. This honour cannot be purchased, transferred or earned any other way once the first 1,000 places are claimed.
Any member who records 40 or more genuine verdicts in a single calendar month will receive one free additional month of Watcher membership. Members who achieve this for three consecutive months will be upgraded to Curator membership for that month and one star in their personal Virgo constellation will permanently light up — a record of their contribution to the flock that no membership change can ever take away.
This contribution reward programme will remain in place until Virgo & Crow determines, at its sole discretion, that the platform has reached sufficient scale to no longer require it. Founding contributors who have actively participated in the programme will not be left unrewarded for their effort. When the programme concludes, all members who have earned at least one constellation star through consistent contribution will receive one full year of Elder Eye membership as a final thank you — our acknowledgement that without them, there would have been no flock to grow.
We will notify all affected members by email no less than 30 days before the programme ends, so that no one is caught off guard.
All verdicts counted toward reward thresholds are subject to community trust standards. Reviews found to be fake, incentivised or in violation of these guidelines will not count toward any reward threshold and may result in earned rewards being rescinded.
We believe privacy is a right, not a privilege. This policy tells you plainly what information Virgo & Crow collects, how we use it, and — just as importantly — what we will never do with it. If you have questions, send us a crow.
We do not collect your real name unless you choose to provide it. We do not collect your location, phone number, or any other personal information.
All payments and donations are processed by Stripe. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never pass through our servers. We do not store, see, or have access to your payment card information.
All donations are completely anonymous. We receive only a confirmation that a donation was made — no name, no identity. Only Stripe holds donor information, as required by law.
We will never:
→ Sell your data to any third party, ever
→ Use your data for advertising purposes
→ Share your email with any brand, advertiser or partner
→ Use your reviews or behaviour to build an advertising profile
→ Allow any payment or donation to influence what you see here
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you logged in and the platform functioning. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly. We will respond within 30 days.
Virgo & Crow is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way we will notify members by email before the change takes effect. We will never make changes that reduce your privacy rights without giving you the opportunity to leave first.
By using Virgo & Crow you agree to these terms. We have written them in plain language because we believe you should actually be able to read and understand what you are agreeing to.
If something here seems unclear or unfair, tell us. We are listening.
Anyone aged 13 or over may create an account. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are old enough to participate.
Your words are your own. You retain ownership of everything you write on Virgo & Crow. By posting a review you grant us a licence to display it on the platform — nothing more.
In return, we ask that your reviews reflect your genuine, honest experience. The flock depends on it.
Our community uses the crow poo button to flag reviews that seem suspicious, unhelpful or dishonest. When a review receives enough crow poo from the community it is reviewed by our trusted moderators.
Reviews found to be fake, manipulative or in violation of these terms will be removed. Accounts that repeatedly violate the spirit of honest reviewing may be suspended or permanently removed from the flock.
We will always err on the side of the community's trust.
Society memberships are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time and your membership will remain active until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
Donations are voluntary and completely anonymous. No donation will ever influence review scores, placement or visibility on the platform. This is non-negotiable.
Free membership months earned through the 40+ review reward system are granted automatically and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
At launch, Virgo & Crow accepts reviews of products only. Books and films will be added in a future update. Reviews submitted for non-product items during this period will not be published.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, and to suspend or remove any account that acts against the spirit of honest, community-driven reviewing.
We will always try to communicate with you before taking action, except in cases of serious or repeated violation.
Reviews on Virgo & Crow represent the personal opinions of individual community members. We do not verify every review and cannot guarantee their accuracy. We are a platform for honest opinion — not a source of professional advice.
If we change these terms in a meaningful way we will notify members by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state in which Virgo & Crow is registered.
